We’ve already looked at some of the research behind CBD’s anti-inflammatory benefits — but its role in preventing inflammation may go well beyond treating pain. Scientists have known for a long time that chronic inflammation is related to the development of cancer, and multiple studies have linked taking anti-inflammatory drugs to a significant decrease in cancer development. CBD fills this role without the possible side effects of NSAIDs like Naproxen or Ibuprofen.
That leaves those touting CBD’s effectiveness pointing primarily to research in mice and petri dishes. There, CBD (sometimes combined with small amounts of THC) has shown promise for helping pain, neurological conditions like anxiety and PTSD, and the immune system—and therefore potentially arthritis, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, cancer, and more.
In a small study published in the journal JCI Insight in 2017, researchers observed that CBD may help prevent stress-related changes in blood pressure. For the study, nine healthy male volunteers took a single dose of either CBD or placebo. Compared to those given the placebo, those treated with CBD had lower blood pressure both before and after experiencing a stressful event.
Vaping CBD oil is one of the preferred methods to ease side effects of diseases, illnesses, and ailments including Leukemia, all types of Cancers, stress, anxiety, joint pain, seizures, inflammation, sleep apnea, high blood pressure and the list goes on. There are many benefits to CBD vape oil. However, the effectiveness of CBD helping with these conditions (and many others) hasn’t yet been scientifically proven, and many trials are still in pre-clinical stage.
There are more than 80 cannabinoids found in cannabis plants, with THC being the primary one, followed by CBD. However, in the hemp plant, which is a different strain of the species Cannabis sativa, CBD is the main active ingredient, and THC is barely present, making its use and legality more widespread. The reason that CBD is such an effective form of support for human health is due to the body’s endogenous cannabinoid system. This regulatory structure of the body has millions of cannabinoid receptors in the brain and nervous system, which react not only to plant-derived cannabinoids (such as hemp and marijuana) but also to natural cannabinoids produced within our body. When hemp oil is used and processed by the body, it is effectively boosting the function of the endocannabinoid system, helping our body regulate itself in many different ways.
As mentioned in previous conditions, these treatments are often associated with devastating side effects, ranging from mild mood changes, sleeping problems and/or appetite changes to depression, dependance and more. In many cases, as patients become acclimated to specific doses, they are increased, leading to a higher potential for negative effects.
